Farmer’s son Mike was born in Old Town Stratford 57 years ago and has since continued to live and work in the Stratford area. Married with 3 children and a grand daughter, Mike lives in Long Marston with wife, Jeanette and son, Ben. Mike started his career as a Master Butcher before moving into the Emergency Services, latterly spending 21 years with the Police. Mike retired early after a serious road accident that left him partial disabled. Elected as your District Councillor 5 years ago, Mike has a proven record of supporting individual residents and our community.

Mike approaches his duties as a District Councillor in a professional and enthusiastic manner. He serves the wider community by sitting on numerous committees at Stratford District Council. As chair of The Liquor Licensing Committee he has overseen the implementation of the Governments new Licensing Act. In addition, Mike, as elected Vice Chairman of Stratford District Council 2005 - 2006. Now as the current Chairman of the District Council, He undertakes many Civic duties on behalf of the Council.
