On Thursday (21st July) Afternoon Tea was held in the gardens at 3 Trinity Street. We were delighted to welcome guest speaker Aphra Brandreth, daughter of Gyles Brandreth and Chairman of the Women's Organisation in the south East.
Last month I went to visit friends in South Africa. One of the more interesting experiences was regular power cuts. Anyone who doubts that the most important factor in energy policy is keeping the lights on should experience regular power cuts. Keeping the lights on will not come cheap!
Ian Shenton was selected by local members in Arden division to be the Conservative Party candidate for the County Council by-election on Thursday 14th July.
